Well...not much happening in ovary land, so we are increasing my dose to 125 units/day. No reason to get overly zealous with my dose right now, so 125 it is. I guess we will see if any progress has been made on Tuesday. Fingers crossed! Last year it took 14 days of injections before my follicles were ready to go. I have a feeling we are on the same path. But...that's okay.
So I couldn't resist!!! I tried! Yesterday morning I woke up at 4:30 with the urge! The urge to hopefully break our BFN streak and prove to be pregnant. Well, into the bathroom I went, gingerly tip-toeing across the hardwood, attempting to avoid waking up Tim. I slowing opened the home pregnancy test package, praying that what I have been expecting was true. There I was, starring at the test...waiting for the line to arrive (Where else to go during the wee hours of the morning...I was trying not to wake up Tim, or the pups downstairs!). Then it appeared, like a magic trick right before my very own eyes! The faintest of faint pink line. It was so faint, I thought for sure it wasn't real. I bursted back into the bedroom "Tim...Tim...are yo awake?" In reply "Kate, it's 4:30 in the morning, what the heck are you doing up?" "I just took a pregnancy test, there are TWO LINES!" Tim's first reply was "why are you testing already and why at 4:...
Come on follies!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you tomorrow. *hugs*
I was going to say, is your cycle shorter when you're on the injectibles? I finally got the O sign on my monitor- day 16. Hope you're weekend is going well. Wish I had the funds, I'd fly out to have lunch with you and Courtney. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the title of this post. It describes my situation perfectly!
God please help this follicle grow. Still praying for you.
ReplyDeleteGrow follies grow! So, what time is your appointment on Tuesday? Perhaps we'll cross paths...we visit Dr. N at 9:45 for the bean's nuchal translucency scan. I'm thinking so many positive thoughts in your direction, Kate! Hope your 125u Follistim does it's thing and you get to where you need to be soon. I know Zoelle will be so happy to have a little brother or sister to look out for from above, and you and Tim will be such amazing parents.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kate,
ReplyDeleteI found your link on Brenna's blog and was interested to see that you, too, (a) lost a little girl halfway through your pregnancy and (b) are in the midst of Follistim shots with this cycle. I am, too, although we are doing IVF for the first time. I will be following along with you and hoping for three perfect eggs for you. (BTW, that is what we had in our pregnancy with Follistim + IUI - and we got three perfect babies out of it. We lost them almost four months ago due to a horrible infection that nearly killed all four of us.) Good luck in your Tuesday appointment. I will check back for the good news. :)
