Rain, rain go away!

Raining in my Heart
Buddy Holly

The sun is out - the sky is blue
there’s not a cloud to spoil the view
but it’s raining - raining in my heart
The weather man says clear today
he doesn’t know you’ve gone away
and it’s raining - raining in my heart
Oh, misery - misery
what’s gonna become of me
I tell blues they musn’t show
but soon these tears are bound to flow
cause it’s raining - raining in my heart
But it’s raining - raining in my heart
And it’s raining - raining in my heart

  1. I went to see a chicago reproductive immunologist who diagnosed me with high natural killer cells that kill my babies...so the IVIG suppresses it. I also have MTHFR a blood clotting disorder and PCOS! i have trouble ovulating too!

  2. Hey! Thanks for the clomid tip, actually I have used it once, for our second pregnancy. It helped us get pregnant! I have not heard about PCOS women using injectables to get pregnant. I have heard of doing injectables for IUI’s and IVF and other ART procedures but I have not heard of just taking them alone to make ovulation happen. That’s a good idea. How often did you have to take them and were they expensive or covered well by insurance? I hope you have high success in getting pregnant again soon and that this time I pray they can help you keep your precious little one!

What is your RE in Akron if you don’t mind me asking? I have been to multiple doctors in Ohio but I feel like I have still not found the right one. The one I am seeing right now is in Columbus and he just wants me to lose weight and see if my body naturally starts ovulating…which I do not have a problem with at all and I have lost 20 already but I also want a doc that will realize when I do need help ovulating!

Take care and have a great day!

  3. Hi Kate,

I just found your blog through Erica's blog (our daughter is in Heaven with Jesus). I am so sorry that you have had to join this club and for the loss of your sweet Zoe. We lost our first child almost a year ago, and it appears now that we are starting a journey through infertility.

  4. hey! Thanks for the info! I have actually been there before. I saw Dr. Nash after my fourth miscarriage. I was seeing a doctor in Akron who specializes in MTHFR for my fourth pregnancy and when I miscarried he referred me to Dr. Nash. I remember how beautiful the reception area was...it was the prettiest most modern looking reception area I have ever seen ! I LOVED IT! The reason why I did not go back to Dr. Nash was because he wanted me to have a biopsy (which I did not want) and he wanted to do IVF...which we do not need since 3 out of 4 pregnancies we got pregnant wo any help and the only one we needed help on was just clomid so we did not want to do clomid. He did not even talk about injections or anything like that! If my columbus doc does not work out I might go back to them and ask for your doc instead of Dr. nash! Thanks for the info! Have a great day! i hope your doing well!

I can't believe it happened to me!

Sometimes I am in complete awe that we have a baby. I am so in love with River and I feel very fortunate! River is a really good baby; She eats great, sleeps well, smiles tons and is easily comforted when cranky. I am really happy to have her here. On the flip side, I am learning all of the beautiful things I missed out with Zoe. Bath time, reading books, cuddling, smiling, cooing, bites of new foods, so on and so forth...the list could go on forever. I still battle with postpartum depression, but I do feel like I am coming out on the other side. My sad days are fewer apart. I still feel terribly guilty that I battle depression. We have tried so long and so hard for a baby that it seems selfish of me to be sad when we have a perfect baby in our arms. HOWEVER, it's not the kind of thing I can control. I still have a lot of depression related to nursing. It hurts me that it didn't work for me...sigh. But, River is super healthy and growing well and at the end of the day, SHE is t...

Seraching for balance...

Wow...I have been a seriously slacker...again. I write on a private blog for River for family, but I find myself writing on here less and less. This blog helped me heal and grow through my grief...but I also know I am never truly healed. Zoe's loss will always be with me. These days I find myself struggling with balance in my life. I seem to be all over the place. After we lost Zoe I was searching to fill the void in my life. At the time, I thought getting a puppy would help distract my mind...it did. The following year we rescued a second dog. Now here we are with a 9 month old and 2 very high energy dogs. I have an extremely difficult time managing our husky, despite how much I love him. I feel like my priorities shifted in such a huge manner...I don't have the time I once did to attend to his needs. I feel like such a terrible dog owner, but at times I feel like it may be time to find Sawyer a new home. He is such a sweet, loving pup...but his energy level is OFF THE HOOK....
